All Reraizers are trained in what might be called 'ungentlemanly skills'... a wide range of abilities and techniques, anything... from methods of assassination to a knowledge of herbs and healing... that might prove useful during an act of Reraizure. Nicky's no exception, he's learned a great deal and is frighteningly competant... hiding his talents under an artificial 'persona'... one that cost him a great deal to have installed, and that is largely impervious to outside scans. Thus far, only Aerik Winters and the mage Ravanna Deathshroud have been able to glimpse that the 'persona' might be false, and neither have managed to see the truth beneath...
Professionally, Nicky's shortcomings include a lack of proficiency outdoors, and a fairly slight physical build which, while advantageous in some circumstances, prevents any kind of real success with larger weapons... swords, axes, staffs, crossbows...
But this doesn't bother Nicky particularly, he's never been sloppy enough to be caught in an open confrontation. Instead, as all Reraizers, he's adept at suiting the best, most efficient method to complete a task... and to tie up the loose ends afterwards.
He would, of course, object very strongly to the idea that Reraizure could be quantified as something so basic and unsubtle as mercenary work... like coersion, assassination, manipulation, or fraud... despite the fact that his own particular areas of trained expertise are knives, pressure points, poisons and forgery.
AND MENTAL...
Nicky's Gift lies at the foundation of all his learned skills. It heightens his senses, making him freakishly observant. When working in tandem with a telepath he is capable of seeing even beyond the natural... his insights often frighteningly accurate, and inexplicable.
The 'non-passive' aspect of his Gift is a powerful ability at suggestion. This side of the gift resembles hypnosis in many ways; it requires both eye contact and physical contact to work successfully... it is ineffective when the 'victim' is in an extreme state of anger, fear, or any other violent emotion... and it cannot force a person to do something which is fundamentally against their nature or wishes.
Unlike hypnosis, Nicky's power doesn't require an outside stimulus or 'cue'. When it functions the suggestion implanted will take effect regardless of the 'victim's' defenses... and because it is neither a magical or telepathic gift as such, Nicky's suggestive power can penetrate both magical and psionic shields easily, and without detection.
His mind also contains a number of defenses, designed to keep his secrets hidden at all costs. A Reraizer has never been unmasked. Nicky doesn't intend to be the first.
